The connection to the glorious West Sussex countryside is via the Downs Link bridleway which passes through the College Grove development. This route connects a variety of wild habitats, taking in banks of wildflowers, mature trees, hedgerows, ancient woodlands, rivers, ponds and streams. Butterflies, such as Fritillaries and Peacocks, are a common sight in the summer months, as are the Kingfishers that hover and swoop over the rivers and wetlands.
At West Grinstead Old Station, just a short stroll from College Grove, a restored railway carriage operates as an information centre for the Downs Link and surrounding area. Take this as your strating point and venture forth to discover the beauty of the West Sussex countryside.
The Downs Link is a 37 mile bridleway connecting some of the South of England’s most striking landscapes, countryside and natural environments. Passes directly through the development, the bridelway gives residents at College Grove their own personal link with nature.
